“In every culture, fire was sacred. It was never just heat and light. It was the breath of life, the heartbeat of the circle.”
– Martin Prechtel
Fire Quest
Imagine yourself sitting by the fire as the birds are singing in harmony at dusk. You’ve harvested your own tinder and kindling, and you lit it with your own spark.
The sun is about to set, and the quest is to tend this fire with your own intuition and ancestral knowledge of fire keeping throughout the night.
The moon rises on the horizon, and the stillness settles in.
You might notice different animals being curious throughout the night as you build and deepen your own connection with this ancestral ancient, stored sunlight burning through the different species of dried logs and branches.
This is a deeply personal quest where you will tend the hearth of the fire and connect it with your own heart.
What can the fire teach you when you rest in its powerful presence and look into its dancing flames?
Through crackling logs and wood releasing liquid and gases, the fire speaks to you.
After hours of communion, prayers, and presence, the twilight appears, and from a distance, you notice the birds returning with their harmonious song, celebrating the return of the sun.
The morning rays shine upon you as you have tended the fire from spark to burning hot coals, until eventually letting it settle down to once again become ashes and earth.
This is an invitation for you to join me on a powerful fire quest. This has been one of the most impactful ancient ceremonies I’ve done, and I’d like to share this experience with you.
Harvesting & Intention Setting
We will start the quest in the afternoon in the forest by connecting to the intentions for the quest and dropping into a place of presence and observation. From here, we will start gathering the materials we will need for starting the fire.
Preparing
The rest of the day will be a space for preparing and practicing various techniques of fire keeping and getting some rest before we start our ceremony.
The Sacrament
There will be an option to use plant medicine to keep us company throughout the night and deepen our connection with the elements.
Fire Keeping
Once the sun is about to set, we will start the fire and let it guide and teach us throughout the night.
Cleansing
When the sun has returned again, we will connect with the element of water to cleanse and wash.
Integration
After a few hours of sleep, we will bring in nutritious foods, build ourselves back up, and have a space to share the insights from the quest.
